Find an updo that best suits you.

A hairstyle that makes you feel your most beautiful is a very big deal on the big day. We surveyed these eight stylists and they revealed that an updo — from an intricately curled coif to a smooth, sleek style — takes about two-and-a-half hours. These stylists also say that scheduling a pre-wedding styling consultation and making sure to set aside enough time on the day-of for your salon visit is a definite hair do, too!

This picture-perfect bride had her hair styled at the spa at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, the site of the wedding and reception. Amy’s “old Hollywood glamour look” was inspired by a hairstyle Katherine Heigl wore to the Golden Globe Awards!

“I’d been planning my wedding since about 10 years old,” laughs Amy, who had some help from Trends to Traditions’ Katherine Shaw in designing the romantic “enchanted forest” décor of her wedding and reception.
