This past weekend, Trends To Traditions and our new sister company, Wedding Boutique North, had the opportunity to attend the Pittsburgh Bridal Show at the Four Points Sheraton in Cranberry, PA. It was a classy event with a variety of vendors displaying their goods and services to brides and vendors alike. The show was complete with cake and cookie tastings, a fashion show, and numerous giveaways from many generous vendors.
Although we have been in business for many years, this was our first appearance in a bridal show, so we were anxious to make an impact on our audience. Therefore, we used the show as a tool to showcase Wedding Boutique North, while also including our work as Trends To Traditions Planners. We came with one too many invitation books, and loads of pictures of the past weddings we have planned. Our linens are what caught the eye of many, but for next time, we may change things up a bit.
Owner and Director, Katherine Shaw is excited to be getting out in the public eye to meet our potential clients. When agreeing to partake in bridal shows, Katherine was hoping to accomplish two things; 1)to get the word out to brides and fellow vendors that Wedding Boutique North is up and running to provide clients with décor and design services, an event element Pittsburgh is not strong in, and2)to gain experience before attending more bridal shows.
What would we do different next time? Research our clientele. Associate Planner, Victoria Bushmire reminds us that for those of us who have already been a blushing bride, it is important for us to think back to when we were planning our own weddings. What were we looking for? What did we need the most help with, and what questions did we have? These questions lead us to what we need to change for our next show.
With that said, feel free to stop by our booth at the Wedding Clickers Bridal Show at the Marriott North in Cranberry, PA on Feb 20 from 12-3pm. In the meantime, check out our websites and visit our Facebook and Twitter pages! We’d love to hear from you! Happy planning!
