Outdoor May Wedding!

Our May weddings are going superbly! Our next wedding is this Saturday, May 21st!  The wedding is outdoors at Longue Vue Country Club in Verona, PA.  Jaime Dray our wedding coordinator, describes the wedding décor as, “Soft and elegant with blush pink flowers and hydrangeas.  Very classic and soft.  Chiavari chairs, ivory linens and amber and gold uplighting/pin spots.”

I asked Jaime a few questions about how she handles outdoor wedding problems:

TTT: 1. How do you calm down your bride if the weather on her day is not perfect?

JD: I always say to the bride ‘the one thing you can’t plan is the weather!’ Even if there is a tornado or a blizzard on your wedding day, what matters is the two of you are making a lifelong commitment to each other! AND some of the best and most creative wedding pictures I’ve seen are ones taken with umbrellas and rain boots!

TTT: 2. What are some precautions you would take when planning an outdoor wedding?

JD: Always always always have a plan b! And c! In Pennsylvania, it is very risky to plan an outdoor ceremony. It’s always wise to have a tent on stand-by or a room prepared inside your reception venue.

Hope this helps when planning your outdoor wedding!
